SHOPPING IN SCHROON LAKE

A visit to Schroon Lake's Main Street will lead you on a good 'ole fashion fun adventure. Spend the afternoon shopping for souvenirs in one of our many shops, including a 137 year old General Store. Maybe you have a hankering for some hard ice cream or old fashion candy? Maybe a healthy iced tea sounds good on a hot day or an hour long massage? Or maybe you would love some chic and groovy items for your home. With an array of shops you will be sure to find something to intrigue you.

SEAGLE MUSIC FESTIVAL

Sit back and enjoy an evening of musical ingenuity at Seagle Music Festival. Seagle Music Festival is the premier opera and musical theater producing organization in the Adirondacks, as well as the oldest summer vocal training program in the United States. In 2021, Seagle Music Festival will celebrate its 106th Anniversary Season with a full lineup for musical shows.

LOWER CHAMPLAIN VALLEY REGION

Looking for an adventure, why not take the day and explore the Lower Champlain Valley Region. Spend the day shopping on Main Street in Ticonderoga and make sure to visit the Star Trek Original Series Set Tour. To end the day, take a drive up to Crown Point and visit Gunnison's Apple Orchard and purchase a yummy Maple Glazed Doughnut and some cider. Then pay a visit to the old Crown Point Fort ruins at Chimney Point on beautiful Lake Champlain.

FORT TICONDEROGA

Take a step back in time to the 18th Century and visit the premier living history program in North America. Fort Ticonderoga’s museum staff brings history to life every day through demonstration of historic trades, daily soldiers’ life programs, and thrilling weapon’s demonstrations.

STAR TREK: ORIGINAL SERIES SET TOUR

When the STAR TREK television series was canceled in 1969, the original sets were dismantled and largely destroyed, only a few small items of the actual sets remain today, and those that have survived are in private collections. Trek super fan James Cawley began the process of rebuilding the sets just as they would have been seen 50 years ago when the series was being filmed, a 14 year journey has culminated in the most accurate rebuild of the original sets, and is now open and welcoming STAR TREK fans from all over the world!

NATURAL STONE BRIDGE AND CAVE

Explore A Natural Wonder in New York's Adirondack Mountains! The massive Stone Bridge is the LARGEST marble cave entrance in the eastern U.S. and is still being carved by the beautiful Trout Brook. In the summer walk the self-guided and above-ground nature trail to witness this spectacular display of ancient Adirondack geology. In the winter, witness a magnificent transformation of landscape as ice flows form ever changing sculptures beneath the Stone Bridge and along the river.

REVOLUTION RAIL RIDE

NORTH CREEK RAILBIKING The North Bridge Run takes riders on a 7 mile out-and-back trip through the beautiful Adirondack forest canopy, and then over the Hudson on a spectacular trestle bridge. After checking in at the Station, riders will board a shuttle bus for a short ride further North to the launch point. After the ride is completed, the shuttle will bring folks back to the Station. Riders will see many species of wildflower and opportunist shrub that are beginning to reclaim the tracks. Just before the halfway point riders will cross the wonderful trestle bridge with views up and down the Hudson River, with the confluence of the Boreas and Hudson Rivers seen to the East. Riders will then have a break on the banks of the Boreas River while the guides spin their bikes around for the trip back.

GORE MOUNTAIN

Come ski Gore Mountain in North Creek, New York. A family-friendly ski center offering four peaks of alpine terrain, affordable ski packages, and exciting events year-round.

ADIRONDACK EXPERIENCE “THE MUSEUM ON BLUE MOUNTAIN LAKE”

Visit the Adirondack Experience and learn about life in the Adirondacks past and present. When you visit the museum, you can step into a traditional Adirondack guide boat or set off a charge in a mine shaft. In addition, walk through beautiful galleries and enjoy interactive exhibits featuring unique Adirondack artifacts. Share an unforgettable day at an extraordinary place.

THE WILD CENTER

Hike an elevated trail across the Adirondack treetops. Find new ways to connect with Adirondack nature through outdoor experiences and explore a 54,000-square-foot museum with live Adirondack animals and hands-on programs and displays.

Take a ride through the trees of the Adirondack Park with while visiting Experience Outdoors. Visiting with a large group, why not spend the day in the trees, working on team building skills.

LAKE PLACID REGION

Take a day trip to Lake Placid, NY, home of the 1932 & 1980 Winter Olympics. So much to do, so much to see. Spend a day shopping on Main Street, visiting the Olympic Museum, or visiting the top of Whiteface Mountain while skiing or taking a summer gondola or car ride to the top.
